MEYER TURKU has a strong network of around 2,000 partners. They provide the material and services for our cruise ships. As current subcontracting share is around 80 % per cruise ship, it is evident that MEYER TURKU places a lot of emphasis on having a good cooperation with its suppliers. Our partner network consist of local and international suppliers.
Our ships are built with
- Several tens of thousands tons of steel
- Several thousands kilometers of wiring and
- Several hundreds kilometers of piping.
Suppliers are Partners
We value teamwork, and our partner companies are also part of our team. We can only keep our business running with the help of our suppliers. Our efficient supply chains are crucial to provide the 15 million individual parts needed to build our cruise ships – in the right place, at the right time and of the very highest quality.
We consider our suppliers to be full members of our project team – just like our own staff. We believe in consistently open and fair dealings. Corporate responsibility and sustainability are our core values. After all, we can only precisely control our schedules and processes, including any uncertainties, if we understand the challenges faced by our partners. That’s why all our activities are closely coordinated between the departments at the shipyard and our suppliers.
We really value long-term partnerships, because our suppliers not only provide materials; they are also our development and innovation partners, and they have all helped MEYER TURKU emerge as the technological leader in the shipbuilding industry. We find it really important to work together on innovations, so that we can benefit from the expertise of our partners while they build their commitment to the future.
