Spirit of France
After the keel had been laid for Spirit of France in summer 2010, MEYER TURKU delivered the ship to P&O Ferries in January 2012. The blue and white ferry has since been travelling back and forth between Dover and Calais.
Spirit of Britain and the structurally identical Spirit of France are the largest ferries in the English Channel. The 213-metre-long vessels in the Spirit Class are also some of the largest ferries in Europe. And that’s not all… The two P&O ferries can accommodate over 1,000 cars and up to 2,000 passengers, who can relax on a wide range of comfortable armchairs, sofas and loungers in front of large panoramic windows. The ships also feature a nice selection of restaurants, bars, shops, lounges and more.
It’s also worth mentioning the sister ships’ special hull design, which reduces their water resistance and fuel consumption.
